Bittersweet
The most anticipated skydiving activity of the season is over, many new friends made, stories told over beer and of course a great many skydives. Sat out due to weather from Thursday to Saturday. Got on the sunrise load on Sunday and proceeded to make 9 skydives that day culmulating in a sunset dive and 6 more jumps on monday. Learnt what a sucky skydiver I am now and how much I have to learn, had shits loads of fun on the hybrid, the 6-way tube and many other jumps I did with the gang. Goofing off in the air, complaining about the s.o.b. who farted (twice!) on the sunrise load, there's so much in this boogie that I'll remember for a long time. Skydiving is not just about the skydives, the amazing people you meet in the sport is what holds us together. People from all walks of life with the same passion, the freedom that we all long to embrace and go to when we're bound to the ground. It was a bittersweet feeling when I left at 1530 yesterday, knowing that it could be a long time before I have a chance to be at the Richmond boogie again. Such is life, forget not the little moments and friendships forged in those small moments in your life for you'll never relive it again... Until we meet again, blue skies to all those who dare to fly without wings. FLY FREE!
